In the couple of years I've been serious with this hobby ive been fortunate to find 4 Roman coins here in Lancashire England.
A Vespasian Denarius AD 73.
Trajan AE Depondious 115AD
and these two 2nd century Denarii (found at different locations miles apart)
The coin of Marcus Aurelius is from 165-166 AD and celebrates Rome's victory over the Parthians.
The other is his daughter Lucilla Augusta and is dated at 164-168AD.

They look worthy of gold bezels . Very cool to have both father and daughter!

Because its cool and I read a little of his thoughts... I bought a Marcus Aurelius once at a coin show. Not as nice as yours. Probably I got the most common one... And it's damaged with scratches...
Yours is way cool.

I found the Lucilla first. My first Roman on a field an old Roman road to York once crossed. I actually looked carefully at the lidar to see exactly where it crossed the field as there was no sign of an agger or anyrhing on the ground. Right in what would have been the ditch and on not a large area that had obviously attracted detctorists long before I turned up, out she came from maybe 8-9 inches deep. Having always been a Roman history buff I was elated.
The Marcus came months later and very unexpectedly on a very wet and miserable day in an area not known for any Roman activity.

Wow. Constantine being the first Emperor of British extraction (don't listen to the slur Helena was an Illyrian innkeepers daughter, she was a Princess and daughtet of King Coel)
He's high on my bucket list along with the first Brexiteer, Carausius (again, he was not Belgic but a Welshboy from Menavia (St Davids).
Bloody historical revisionists and their nonsense, don't even get me started or I may go full gammon 😂
your lucky folks having a permission like that whether you know it or not. And what's to stop a little of the yellow stuff to come up too.
Now that would be a special Constantine.
