Two great Rich Hill Clubs - Good Luck!!

When I spent 2 years working in Dateland, Az - I heard rumors about gold in the lower Gila river near you. It was before I caught the fever, so...?

1krazeepolack, Welcome to T Net, but more importantly welcome to Arizona. There are many members up your way and clubs as Terry has mentioned. Again welcome...:icon_thumleft:

Were you working on the huge solar array in Dateland?

No, AZ - this was way back in late 70's, lol. I worked the gas station there, and as "chief date raker". How big is the solar project ?

Hey krazee

Live in Mesa and I run out your way all the time. I wouldn't mind running around with ya. I've got a sluice and go up north. Try to go once a month. Plus I go towards payson every week detect up there. Run dirt up north. I'm a member of the GPAA and Weaver Mining Group. You could message me or we could meet up. I go out by you every other Monday. Next Monday I'll be in your neck of the woods.

Krazee, Latch up with GarretdiggingAZ. He is on some good gold up at Rich Hill. I KNOW because me and TimC PUT him on good gold! Ha! Seriously, good areas up there. He'll show you as we did him and others. Welcome. TTC

BTW, "The Hole" TimC and I have been working for a few years pooped out. We hit a clay layer and the gold was not as abundant under the clay. We started scraping (not too deep) areas around the hole, on the berms, and "re-found" the gold. Take note.... stay above the clay layer, up on the berms, not in the bottoms. TTC

I know Terry's seen these pics but I wanted to show you what's out there.
All pics are from a one day dig at three different spots.
The nugget was a .2g that's in 2nd pic as Lincoln's beard. According to my scale total was .8g. Don't know if I believe my cheap Chinese scale, but it surely was better than I started out with.

Just for clarification, Garret.... the three pics are of three yields.... meaning the .8g is the total of all three pics, right? NICE! Weaver claim?? TTC

Total of all. I'm going to get another scale that I feel actually measures. Since that nugget was .2g by itself. Then as I added the rest of the gold it never changed. I'm betting actual take was an even gram. But what do I know. I thought my first nugget was huge. Not a multi-ouncer, but still compared to what we see is the norm for the area. It seemed like the iceberg that hit the titanic. Did I mention my eyes magnify things. Lol

By the way. The third pic is probably half of what was actually gotten. I had ran more of that dirt in the field and had that someplace else. So it wasn't included. All in all it was a good day. My soon to be son-in-law couldn't believe you/we could do this. I do believe I've got another family member hooked. So maybe I should file a claim for my family and friends.

The more the merrier! Get 'em ALL out there! And make sure he has a shovel! NO SLACKERS ALLOWED! TTC

That's their job. I'll just run and maintain the sluice. Lol. Maybe they'll let me take a break and dig, but they all would rather dig than watch the gold jump out at ya. Lol

:BangHead: Just found the post! Dag nab it! Just had a fallout w/the lady friend, so I'll be heading back to the rancho in Californicate!! Sorry! It coulda, woulda been fun! (Women are tough to deal with)!! Thanks for the post! Good luck guys!! That"s a great lookin pan of color!!!

Well krazee,
Sorry about you and lady friend. Does that mean you're heading back to CA? Keep in touch. There are others from TN back there too. Good luck

I also am a fellow GPAA member. I was trying to locate somebody to do some prospecting with actually. I will be in the Phoenix area 4/18/14-4/23/14. I was actually doing some research on Gold Hill. Willing to travel for sure. Also liked the Prescott area. Visiting in-laws for vacation from Kansas. I have vibralite pony drywasher, garrett gold scorpion metal detector, 36" sluice, pan, etc.. Its not easy to find gold in a non-gold bearing state like Kansas but i have. Im no expert prospector by any stretch of the imagination, but i dont think I'd classify myself as a novice either.
