If You do facebook I would go to the Axe and Woodworking Appreciation group page and post there. Best group I know of for axe information and identification.

Fabulous hatchet... This a VERY early trade style belt hatchet / axe.

The touch mark / initials will possibly lead to an exact maker and time period. ( but might just be the owners initials)

These are known as "belt axe" / "Splint hatchets"... "trade axe(fur)"... Even as "Tomahawks" "throwing axes"... they will go all over the place.... and several other types that people "made up". heh

Ask me ?

"Fur trade belt hatchet / axe"

The #3 photo looks more like a cast, which would not be a trade axe. The #1 photo is blurry so I can't determine if it has a fold seam.
This link has a lot of information

Pics 2&3 are a different belt axe & yes, it is cast.
Other pics posted below. Definitely forged looking at it in hand.
Thank you, Paul

The link provided gives a person a lot of information regarding what is what regarding the axes.
I have referred to t many times over the years, and I get a sense of what to look for when viewing a piece.
So the cast one can be discounted as they didn't "cast" actual trade axes.
Have you researched the touch mark "PC" as of yet?

Post cleaned... multiple reasons.

Trade axe?
Sometimes personalized with owners initials

No. I do not recognize the touchmark.

Ask the seller if it is French. English ,or domestic smith made.
If the seller does not know , don't pay more than fifty dollars. 20 would be better.

Not likely French import. But would take researching.
