Personally I don't fully believe anything coming from them. There are reasons why I say that other than just opinion but I won't share them here.

While the feat ranks high with us it's basically a toy when considered alongside the vastness of space. Man will never conquer space and many on the inside know it. Like the Titanic this world is economically going down so enjoy these little fireworks displays as long as you can.

It's rather comical that 90% of our own oceans still remain unknown to us and yet we're out there seeking to master an ocean of limitless size. Yup, there is no end to what we know as space. Fire a rocket and if it were to travel forever it would never come to the end because something must always be. Mars is just a pimple along the way.

Oh well, let the GAMES continue.

I just hope if they are about to land there,
the pics aren't airbrushed or Chosen after they look at every inch first,
and decide what we're allowed to see.

I Understand they may have to Reshoot from a different angle if they are facing the Golden Nuggett

In all Honesty, I do like we are exploring Space & Am hoping Something shows up
to prove once & for all there was Life on Mars & That NASA Admits it.

Of course I Think we should explore the Ocean floor also if we aren't.

You hit on perhaps the main reason for space exploration. Remember when the first Russians went into space they joked about not seeing God or any angels?

While there are many reasons for space exploration one aspect stands out AT THIS TIME. That is the need to discover life outside earth so that this information (along with evolution) may be used in our schools to strengthen the cause of undermining all religions. Religion today (all religions) is seen as repressive and ignorant by the majority of the most elite educators. It is considered very much counterproductive to the advancement of mankind. An ever growing majority of the world's most intellectually advanced scientists, etc., have as ONE OF THEIR GOALS in life the total extermination of religion.

Religion stands in the way of countless future advancements (according to them). For one, it is religion (or spin-offs of it) that blocks the elimination of people viewed as leaches of society (the welfare crowd, mentally ill, elderly, etc.). As mentioned above by another poster, many would like to see all or almost all "entitlement" types of wasteful spending eliminated, but religion (and it's influence) stands in the way (and also non-religious silly emotionalism which is a spin-off of religion).

In a way this is what was behind Hitler's philosophy. The Christian view that ALL life is precious and must be preserved stood directly in his way. This is why in all communist countries serious Christianity is hated and even as I write this Christians are being killed and incarcerated for their faith.

In fact the main reason for evolution was to undermine the concept that life is precious. This is how we got abortion.

So, expect to read of many forthcoming "undeniable proofs" that life existed on other planets. Because, as stated, this right now is one of the main reasons for the entire space program.

The finding of life past or present on another world will not disprove anything since most religions believe "God" no matter what name he is called by each faith created all things which covers all life no matter where it is found on this planet or any planet...It certainly would not change my beliefs....

I think what they are really searching for is the point of creation and how it came to be. Their largest telescopes are pointed at the very end of the universe. It is the same reason they have tried to discount and ridicule anyone who claims to have seen UFO's, making them out be kooks or metally deranged in some way. They are hiding so many secrets from populace that they haven't the slightest idea what is going on, and where their money is being spent on these projects. Black projects have a larger budget than the military. They do know that if a catstrophe were to come upon the earth that mankind could be extinquinshed, so they are looking to colonize another planet to prevent the extinction of mankind. Mars is the closet planet to earth, as far as size and possibly enough water to sustain a small population. It is just a jumping off point into the universe and can be used as a supply station for future exploration. rockhound

I will not comment on the first 2/3 of your message, but only on the last part, in fact, the last sentence. You are exactly right. How do I know? I read NASA briefings, and articles having to do with goals in space. Check last month's Popular Mechanics. We are a bit slow. I was on a university team that analyzed the Mars Viking landers results. That was in 1978(landed on Mars in 1976). It sure has taken a long time to get back, but I suppose the free handouts in our socialist welfare state used up too much of the money. And of course being the world's police force costs a bunch. And then there is stimulus(I got none) and free breakfast and lunch programs, oh yeah, I already complained about that. The list goes on. Why do we go into space? Man has always explored and the west has been settled. Space-the final frontier...

just as space can have no Beginning or end and time can have no beginning or end Life can have no beginning or end. even "Big Bangs" come from something that was there before. like the song says Nothing From Nothing Leaves Nothing. even the scientist creating a test tube baby has to know & Have what a baby is created from. " test tube baby parts "

and since there had to be something there before to stand on,
while building a space ship, we cannot be the first life to build one

And considering how long forever is, More then a Zillion, zillion years of life,

we have to be very low on the scale. I mean, come on, look at some of the inhabitants of this planet. people dumb as rocks. 0 common sense. use the smallest amt. of brain power possible just to function.
it is amazing we made it this far

people working against each other is what I see over this entire planet---with a small group of people helping thrown into the mix.
