Mastereagle showed up at my place this morning at 7:30 am. He beats on the door and before I can open the door he almost rips the door off. I told him to chill out and he slinks in the door.

Lately, we (I) haven't been finding much to write home about. It seems hard to get motivated. After the usual jokes regarding my Whites detector and how worthless it is, I get in the car. Much to my surprise and probably dismay, I arrive alive at the place we are detecting. This is a classic old homesite, stairs leading up to the raised yard, looks old as can be. Mastereagle takes off like a dog tracking a coon. I waited until he had his back turned and pelted him with the first handful of dirt clods this morning.

It doesn't take long for us to realize this place is one big trash heap. We don't have the time or inclination to try to clean out trash etc here. It is only about 9 o'clock and it is already about a thousand degree's out. I did manage to score a wheat penny and a mildly interesting house number, and a cap gun cylinder. I also found a whatz-it that looks like and tiny handle to something....I have no idea.

Mastereagle complained and whined until we decided to leave. We went to an old church that has some big history in our area. We finished out the day there with some modern clad and the big man outdid me (as usual) by finding a silver rosie. He usually crows like rooster when he one-ups me and struts around with his head darting in and out like he is pecking imaginary seeds from the air. He was on decent behavior today; attributed to the fact that he was close to a heat stroke I discovered later.

Well, that, in summation, was our morning. Mastereagle went home to his family and apparently they had the day mapped out for him. He invited me to a BBQ over dinnertime, but I declined since I am not fond of poisoning. Just kidding old buddy...I appreciate the invite. I would have come over, but I needed to organize my steller finds! :tard:

Ahhh, the guilty has been identified. IT's a "_______"! ;D  Tell M.E. that Nate uses the guilty and he just whupped my butt with it.

It was a warm one today. I spent the day on the lake. :icon_sunny:

Keep it up. The next dig will be that big one.

Nana~
Yeah, I should have gone to the BBQ....but truth be known, I was afraid ME22's wife would try to assassinate me!

Silverfreak~
I just write it down. This stuff writes itself. I didn't even mention Mastereagle crying. Whoops. ::)

Mirage~
It must be soil conditions that allows your buddy to whip your butt. _______ has really sucked for me the last 3 months or so.

Burdie~
You should go along with us on our home turf. It's like hunting with my kids! Lots of crying and immature behavior.

Brenda~
It's my post, my story and pics. Your reading too much into this. If it seems like BS...it's Mastereagle's post....if not it's mine.

warsawdaddy,
It is actually a 1945...not 46. The pic is kinda bleak.

Cyn,
He was serving weasel at the BBQ. I vote no. We did have a good time though.

Balding Boy, you make me laugh. Love the stories. If friend can't abuse friends why have 'em?
Good Luck, and if you make him cry again get a picture!
HH

Well well well, seems someone is off their medications again!

Actually almost everything he wrote was true. IT was a MILLION degrees out with a humidity of 110%!!!!

We have had some REALLY old houses to hunt lately but they are all in CRACK TOWN and digging trash just isn't as much fun as it was just a year ago.

I did manage an old Matchbox car, a Playboy pewter mug that had been hit by a lawnmower and some other stuff I just haven't posted it yet. But maybe I will this afternoon.

Yeah see how BB is? I invited him to my home for Pork Tenderloin, Pork Steaks, baked beans, and homemade white cake with chocolate icing!!! And he turned it down for a TV dinner. Oh well his loss.....

Always an adventure when you guys pair up. There is a lot of "stuff" yet to be dug ath those old home sites and you are sure cleanin' off the first layer. Keep on diggin buddy.

Hey I like Wheasel on a stick, yummy....

Keep safe...

Keith

You haven't EVER Tasted anything good until you have had Weasel Stir fry! ;D

Mastereagle,
Some people have no appreciation for the finer things in life. I would bet you make a fine weasel!
HH

BB,
Wonderful story and pics. Was it baked Weasel?
Joe

Nope Grilled, it's the only way to go! Oh yeah I forgot to mention that BB put away his TuTu.

When he showed up to detect he was wearing the Civil War uniform you see on his avatar.

How embarrassing! ::) :wink:

I would Love to be that "fly on the wall" on your hunt's....Knucklehead's :D I love it.Honestly 9 time's out of 10 that's what my plate look's like,still history to me.Keep the "comedy page's" rollin'...never a dull moment.Congrat's
