I felt a tug on the shore line so I knew I needed to ascend. At 2.5 atmospheres I was pushing the dive tables so I dumped my weight belt making sure to rise slower than my bubbles for risk of the bends. It was a long way up with zero visibility so I relied on my PADI training. As I broke the surface I was met by a tall blond woman who reached down and handed me a cold beer. The whole situation was beyond words. I spit my regulator and swallowed that cold beer.
