Found the following, plus six brokes, this past Sunday along the Potomac. It's always a thrill finding an artifact but I miss the "quality" artifacts I used to find in Georgia as a kid. Will have to post some pics of those...

Nice finds! I have always had a hard time finding points in so many rocks. My eyes were never able to adjust properly even with years of looking.....Or maybe my eyes are just not what they used to be :laughing7:

Please do post them! I'd like to see.

Great finds ,but it looks like you are hunting in a rock pile:laughing7:I know that has to be tough on the eyes or it would be for me, with that much stone:BangHead:I would be picking up stones just to look at the type.

Boy those sure look familiar! Good eye- you might think of trying a smaller tributary that flows into the Potomac- might see a little less wear. That said, there's something appealing to surf/wave-polished quartz. Like sea glass. HH! Yakker

Let me tell ya it is getting really hard to find a good quality point in my part of GA. I find plenty of tips and ends but a whole one is a real treat.
