Jim, I like the way you think. Chick Flicks are the bane of real men and you may have to sit through a few movies. Make a lot of trips to the kitchen to get her a drink or chips so you can wipe your eyes from them girl movies......

That comes naturally I'm well trained.

Peak season is over and it is off to Utah in an RV for a few weeks!
She likes hiking, I like......you know. I'm sure we can work it out.

Since she likes hiking, find out of the way places to go that you have to hike to. You would be together, hiking/MDing and enjoy the great outdoors.

My husband doesn't have an interest in MDing but he will "sometimes" go with me. He sets and watches and takes pictures (usually of my butt while Im digging ) but we are out doing something together and having fun.
We both have our own hobbies and interest and certain things on TV we like that the other doesn't. We just compromise .... to a point When he watches things on TV I don't like, I put the headphones on at the computer and jam the music while playing games or reseaching or being on Tnet. My show's I like to watch are usually on when he isn't home or is already in bed for the night. (I get ansomnia and can't sleep at night) I would go absolutely nuts if I had to do "everything" together with him but having at least one thing that we can both do to spend time together is awesome and I wouldnt ask for anything more.... that's about all I can take

Anyways, finding something to do together is great. Hiking/MDing seems like a perfect match

Thanks for all the replies!!!! I now know... I'm not alone.

T.V is a big problem or is it?
We have certain show we watch together every single day and that's great.But she loves her other shows too... (I can only handle so much) and gardening,biking,tanning.

That's.... when I make my escape with gear in hand and off I go for the day.She don't mind.. keeps me out of trouble.

I've change my work hours, so now.. I can talk on line before work and after she goes to bed. Where there's a will there's away.

I howerever would like to see her have more hobbies that she can enjoy, and feel the way I do.

But she seems content and happy.I can bounce from one thing to another like a rubber
ball. MDing,Beach combing, fishing, coin collecting, antiquing, Karaokeing,We are diffrent in a lot of ways but it works.

hey if your going to a nice park you can always invite her along, specially if she likes to read. she can sit under a shady tree or something and read while you MD. i do this sometimes. its nice to have an extra set of eyes occaisionally watching you.

Good Lord!!! read? This lady is stuck in an office all day behind a computer...No reading.
Sounds nice though.If there was a park to go to.... it would be magic mountain, she dose like rides... She likes to be on the move if outdoors,that's the problem.I think I should just give in and go hiking and biking with her. Just, hiking and biking!!!Maybe she will stop and watch me dig up something.
