Melted Bell

Well the snow finally melted and I was able to get back out detecting. I went to a mining village where a lone house sat away from the main village and I had found a goat bell last fall. I dug up this object and paid no attention to what it was and put it in my bag.
When I got home I was going over the items that I had found and discovered that this was a bell that had gone through a fire. It is 3" tall and a lot heavier then the goat bell.
