This morning I was reading an article that popped up in my FB feed about a dig near St. Augustine recovering artifacts that included Brown Bess muskets. The article went on to discuss how the conservators used electrolysis and then applied Polyethylene Glycol to the muskets. Being a digger of relics that got me intrigued so I went to Amazon and plugged in "Polyethylene Glycol" to search and immediately got constipation medications; I chuckled to myself and thought... a metal conservative I sh*t you not. Then I plugged it into yahoo but added "...metal conservation" and it came up with PEG-200 which is available on Amazon. So I went back to FB as I wanted to share the article and of course FB auto updates and the article disappears
