Anybody ever herd of someone using a underwater detector to locate pay streeks
Under water ?

It would have to be very shallow to bedrock for it to work. The places I have dredged so far it was feet to the bedrock, so a detector wouldn't do much unless it was a pocket of flood nuggets.

100's of times with the my ol'school underwater whites but now infinium, sand shark and many others also. John

isn´t that what you want ? find the concentrated black sand, gives you a place to start looking for the good stuff.

Do they help find the paystreaks? hmmmm... not so much as they do help cleaning them out. I've had a few over the years & they pay for themselves if you use them. Minelab 1000 :headbang:
