Thanks for posting the video! Nice seeing silver in the hole. Does your buddy use grenades to dig with? Those holes are oddly shaped for such a small target.

Not a grenade lol. That barber was apparently all over the place. The soil there was definitely a bit different than we were used to. I wasn't concerned about his holes in the woods - everything was filled in nice nice. In the upcoming videos we do some private property and the holes are very small.

Very nice finds!
You mention "history filled road trip".
Is there something particular about why you chose these sites in the vid? Can you give us a little backround without divulging the exact spot?
Helps us play along!

Nice finds there and good video, Congrats and HH!

Tidajo - What I do when I research a spot is probably like everyone else. On trips like this, where I have never been, I try to just scratch the surface.

We read about different towns along 2 proposed routes we could take. We looked for any old stories, or maps, or aerials we could find and tried to connect the dots to find some relatively untouched spots. The first 3 days, we only hit one silver, so we changed plans and went more with door knocking and access to private forested areas that were near water ways or may have been frequented by large numbers of people. The door knocking proved to be invaluable, and we ended up on some private land you will see in some of the videos.

I wont say we didnt get lucky, but we gave ourself a chance by doing some pretty indepth reading and at least having a good general area to hit.

Next time should be a lot better!!.

Its just fun hitting totally new dirt and having some finds to show for it.

That type of hunt is mostlywhat I do. Just wondering about the backround of the property in the vid.
it would be nice to know what we are watching ("old farm from 1800s", "land that held merchant store from 1900", etc)

You know what. You would die. It was 50 feet off a pounded park in western NY. I could not believe that stuff was there. The first 3 coins are from a trashed park.

Yup, dying here, esp since this is in my part of the state!
Great job guys

We actually SAW 3 guys hunting from where we were standing. We just sat down and waited till they left.
