Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows what this rock is? I found it metal detecting in a dry creek I thought it was melted metal but on the surface it looks different and it not light weight, it sounds like a rock when you tap them together. It’s not magnetic 🧲 a close up view of shows little tiny clear quarts crystals in some places. Two of the pieces I’ve cleaned up using baking soda and vinegar but the other I’ve left as I’ve found it.

They sure look like camp fire nuggets. Melted aluminum blobs and yes, sometimes some dirt will get melted in with them.

I agree what did it read on your AT PRO or did you find it on the ground

I agree with xr7ator. Likely an aluminum can melted in a campfire that had some rock and quartz near it.

Yea man melted aluminum

The bane of every detectorist. Aluminum giblets!
