What's new

Metal Detector.com

Personally I'd go with Kellyco as always.

Their prices look Steep

297 for an ace 250 ?

212 at KELLYCO with accesories

Im likeing Kellyco a whole lot more than metaldetector.com....Would it be worth it to pay the $297 for the Ace 250 Pro or should I just stick with the Ace 250 for $212? Thanks again Jeff.

what is the difference ?

I'm not real familiar with the garrett 250
and have alot of Problems pulling up the site you listed.

I know the 250 retails for 249.oo

what are you getting for the extra money ?

OK I was finally able to Pull it up.

The Extra Search Coil Could be a Benifit.

and there are a few extras.

So it would probably be a benifit to go with their Pro Package,
IF their deal is still Good

I would buy from a local dealer if at all possible. I could have gotten my latest detector from Kellico but they would not be there to help me along if I need it like a local dealer can. The guy I just got a detector from took me to one of his civil war spots got a nice bullet and a sling buckle off a rifle form the civil war. Am I happy you bet I am.

listed as Local Garrett Dealers,
But May be just Authorized Dealers who will order for you,
but carry no stock.

Most likely Prices are Higher too.

hello i did purchase a bounty hunter from them that I'm trying to sell at this time, they are a family business,an there honest, they shipped my detector out right away,An there knowledgeable,my only complaint with them ,I was just starting out metal detecting,an i explained that i was looking to detect Florida beaches an was wanting a bounty hunter time ranger,They sold it an i was not happy, this is not a good beach machine, but they suggested my next machine be a minelab,an i just purchased a minelab se, from kellyco,an I'm very happy,But i believe they will match detector prices, from my original discussion,Ronald

I had a bad experience with metaldetector.com, I will never purchase anything from them again!!!!!

Well I decided to go with kellyco, the total cost was $222 for my ACE 250 with all of the extras. Basically after looking around I decided that it would be the quickest, cheapest place to purchase the detector especially since they were offering free ground shipping as well as a bunch of extras for free even though im not sure they would really be worth $130. They said that it would be here by the end of next week (Jan 4th or 5th). Thanks for all the help.

Congrats on the Ace. No matter where you get it it’s still one of the easiest detectors to learn.
Let us know how you make out with it, And your experience with Kellyco.

As far as cheapest price goes. The manufacturers dictate the lowest advertised price and ALL dealers are held to that. :)

Tony, I would have to disagree with that. There is always someone selling cheaper than the crowd. At least that is what I have found after doing a lot of research (shopping).

Sorry but being a dealer for 30 years that is the way its supposed to be. If they are not advertising the same prices then they are either in violation of their dealer agreements ; in which case I wouldn't trust them or they are not selling a new detector. :'(

Years ago I built and ran a pet shop and there are a number of pre packaged kits that have manufacture pricing limits but,,, you could sell them for more just not less.
One thing that I don’t understand is the extras some dealers include. Allot of them are similar and some don’t offer any, are they just selling the manufacture bonuses separately?
