metal wheel thing

i was out in my backyard and i found a large metal wheel.
i live in the springfield area of Mass
i was wondering if it could be a wheel to a old horse drawn carraige or tractor

i don't have a pic yet but its about 3 to 4 feet in diameter and it was only a couple of inches ground

There is no way to help you without a pic. Large metal wheel thing could be many things.

Metal wheels were used on everything form horse drawn eq to tractors and thier equipment. A picture and exact measurements would help a lot.
