I haven't showed some of my collection in a long time.

Here is a mid Missouri pipe I found in a spring fed creek in the late 1980s. I don't know for sure but I suspect it was a recent deposit in the creek from a storm that caused the sides to cave in as it has no damage. Found it behind a log that had fallen and was laying in the creek. The creek was stone bottom, spring fed and they camped along spring fed water.

So cool. I've dove quite a few springs in mo. If u don't mind me asking what spring? Not asking to go looking, just curios if a dive/able or named spring.

Very nice.

Not often something like that is found in modern times.

Congrats on that amazing find.

I spent over 20 years walking fields, creeks, streams and rivers of Mid Missouri, I found that there were far more high quality artifacts found in the water than on land so I concentrated on water hunts. I hunted creeks that were stone bottom, spring fed and in undeveloped land with owners permission. Because of my job I had cases of ball caps, gloves and other items land owners could use. I would meet the land owners through my job and after getting to know them I would give them a dozen work gloves in exchange for the right to hunt their property. Nine times out of ten they would gave me permission.

I found a lot of high quality points and artifacts hunting the water. On my best day I found 40 whole points after a heavy rain. The heavy rain would cause the creek walls to collapse into the water, what ever was in the dirt washed down stream. I was never able to isolate the campsites due to the heavy brush and trees along the banks, I concentrated on the creeks instead, the creeks and streams ran for miles.

I used "one call" maps to find the creeks and streams I wanted to hunt and marked the approximate location of groups of artifacts found.
