Went to the kitchen this morning to fix coffee and happened to look out the kitchen window..and this is what I saw. About 2 years ago, we had as many as 5 foxes visit our yard every day...then, just as quickly as they appeared, they left. Looks like one thought he would visit again. Might better stock up on some dog food again.

too cool! Would be a lot of fun watching him. When I was little and we stayed a summer in Fairbanks Dad and I watched the fox and babies every morning. Hope you get more pics!

I know one thing pratt...they can climb the heck up a six foot chain link fence. When I hear the fence shaking, I know at least one is on his way. Darn, wish I would never had seen that movie, Legend of Boggy Creek..lol

Love the fox maybe its female and we will see baby pixs!

Yup it's a gray fox. We had a family of 6 a couple years ago. I never was able to catch them on film. I really hope they come back some day. Maybe this year. They are a ball to watch. One of the pups actually got stuck in the garage, the Hubby had to open all the doors and leave for a while so he would leave on his own. Too cute!

CG...My daughter was staying with us while her husband was deployed last time and she would sit on the back porch and those buggers would come up to about 5 feet of her. They would take a nap in the backyard just like a darn dog. We had 5 that came regularly and 4 possums. According to the encyclopedia, the fox is the possum's worst enemy...guess they never met any possums from SC cause the possums would run the foxes off the food..lol

I took this picture of a fox at the east end toll booth of the
Dumbarton Bridge, near Fremont, California.

There were dog food dishes nearby, so the bridge workers must have
been feeding him/her.

:)

Once a month I always see a Red Fox near me house. I also see a couple of Grey fox's here abd there, but the Red ones are better looking.
