A beautiful day for detecting today, after a good amount of needed rain. Went park hunting today with Steve (daytondigger) and Manny. We all got silver. Started at 9 and went until 5 with a short break for lunch. Bested my best day for silver by one... got 17 today. Four quarters, 13 dimes, taking me to 255 silver for the year. Also surpassed my wheat goal for the year, getting #1000 somewhere in the middle of all that, with 26 wheats. A little over $7 in clad and a sterling silver heart charm.

So, quarters: dateless SLQ, 1941, 1942, 1945. Dimes: 1917, 1918, 1923, 1939, 1939-D, 2-1943, 1944, 2-1946, 1950-D, 1959, 1960-D. Oldest wheat was a 1917, I think, and the second oldest was a 1918-S.

Hope everyone got out digging today!

Awesome hunt there with lots of silver congrats.

I'm just thinking, if I had upgraded to a new detector, I could possibly have pulled three times as much silver from that spot than what I've dug with my old CZ5. I'm sure I've dug at least 250 silvers there, so 700 plus maybe :dontknow: :help: :tongue3:. I'm glad you had another record breaking day, keep on diggin'!! I managed 5 silvers :-[ , several wheaties including a 1909 and a pile of clad.

That was an amazing hunt in my book, I can't match your one day's find in a year.

wow nice finds. so which one of your detectors were you using. mike

Minelab E-Trac. I've really bonded with it at this point, in the past month I feel like I really have a good handle on it. Over 100 hours, maybe closer to 200 hours.
