Military Pin What's it???

Found this awhile back and have been lurking and researching to find out what it is and when it was issued.
So far no luck.
It could also be from scouting??
It has N.S.Meyer Inc. New York on the back with a small logo shield under it.
The Dime is for size...
Thank for the help..

HH

I think those are for a military school or a cadet corps.

Thanks Don, That would put it right where I thought it would be... WWII
Bosn I was thinking that it may very well be from cadets, but I just don't know.
