Minelab EQUINOX 800 Metal Or Minelab Gold Monster?

Looking at which will be our first detector,
I would like to search for gold with the wife, which detector is better
and what areas to visit by Placerville, Auburn CA or other in Norther California?i

Look on you tube for good lessons on guys finding gold in rivers etc. I would figure out your budget on detectors and go from there. Good luck!

If you are only going to use the machine for nuggetshooting, get the Monster. BUT< if you want to coinshoot or hit the beach as well, get the Equinox 800.

I am a new Monster owner. I have yet to find gold with it but considering the TINY bullet and iron scraps found with it by my girlfriend PeteyGirl, go for the Monster. I have no experience with the 800. TTC
