LOL! Did you watch the video? The measurements in post #34 is ON TOP OF THE GROUND! The musket ball is buried at an unknown depth. Your failing to comprehend that you must add the depth of the buried target, plus the measurement, for a TOTAL !
I can understand your post/chart now.
Sorry for any misunderstanding on my part.
No I can't stream video's often (data vs download capabilities)
To put that excuse into perspective to open an attachment for a picture posted in the forum that has to be enlarged.
That spinning wheel of death can be spinning sometimes for 5 minutes.
That's on a clear day
Still I don't hold much credibility to air/test patch #s
I remember air testing a new Explorer SE in the condo in FL in 2008/9
It plainly sucked-I was silently doing the

at thinking that I had bought a piece of crap.
I tested many items a quarter was a few inches only
Then detecting on the beach a quarter was down 18" and I was WTF!

So I will stand by the real world vs testing world.
Have done this too long to be convinced that all comparison testing is going to favour the manufacturer, not the opposing unit.(that would make no sense)
Just imagine:
Yup the Deus ll - 20cm strong/blew the tester's ears off for a .177 pellet

Our new Manticore machine - 2cm came in as an iffy, weak, one way, jumpy signal.

I looked at the Manticore's battery life/charging and it's short/long times.
So it says a bit on what it takes to run the unit.
Also the weight
Untested in the real world
So I just payed for the Deus ll yesterday to be shipped to me.
I have a half dozen well hit sites that it will be tested on.
6-8 yrs of digging on these sites where getting anything nonferrous is a good hunt.
Not expecting "banner type" recoveries-but it will tell me if the machine can stiff out more targets than the Deus 1 can.
So I hope that when I get our fibre optic link up that the viewing can be a normal thing for a video.
