I've been asking Sunray if they were going to come out with a probe for the X70,,,, the answer was a Corporate decision from Minelab that they were not going to share the microprocessor so that Sunray could make the probe. So, I've posted the email addr. for all three hq's for Minelab. Maybe if enough of us voice our wants, they might listen... post if you agree and want to help...GH

Pinpointers are a waste on money. learn to pinpoint with the coil. I sometimes use an 18" excerator coil and can pinpoint dead on every time.

I can pinpoint fine, Ive been metal detecting since i was 14 so pinpointing is not the issue. its that if I get a target that is really small I want use a probe to find it... I've used them for years and once you use one, it's like a microwave, how did i go without one.... :dontknow:

Hello JMO!
I have to disagree. I absolutely adore SunRay's SX-1 inlign probe and really can't do without it on my SE. It's not so much a "PINPOINT" issue; having one makes recovery so much easier. Try it and you will see.
I do agree however agree; most handheld pinpointers are junk!

Good Swinging!
