I've been thinking about getting a pair of Amphibians for my Equinox, but have heard the max volume is not very loud?

I can confirm the grey ghost amphibians are not very loud. I personally use Harolds headphones on my EQ800 with a modified factory minelab equinox 1/4 inch adapter and am very satisfied with the sound quality. I cut off the 1/4 adapter and soldered and heat shrinked harolds headphones to the waterproof 1/8 adapter.

Yep. I second that re the GGA's. Tony Eisenhower put an Equinox connector onto my Amphibians, noted the low volume, and put his drivers into the headset. I got a pair of ML Equinox WP phones as backup and even they are not as loud as the Tony's Frankenphone Amphibians.

They are off my Sovereign GT, I don't use them in the water.

Do you have issues with volume?

First time I wired mine they where quiet switched some wires around and they are loud enough for me.
Just make sure you have the wiring right and I think they are fine.
