Mondays field finds

made it out monday for a few hours, had a pretty decent hunt. found four little knives, a curious piece of speckled green stone, ground smooth on most of it, but still has some rough areas. also found what i think is a bear claw, seems to big to be anything else. if so it would be my first. it was found in an area of the field where i find alot of woodland tools. the last piece is a preform i think

before i cleaned it i thought i had a nice little adze, but it doesnt have much of a bit on either end or it is due for a little resharpening. would like to hear any opinions. thanks

have no idea about the claw or tooth, but the rest is good stuff! The greenstone could be a broken celt or hammerstone! :icon_thumleft:

I don't know what kind of claw but it's a very cool find. The artifacts are great too but the claw, how cool is THAT!

Hard to tell fom a picture, but that looks like a Beaver tooth.

That is a Hog tusk or tooth I do believe.

I agree with ohio looks like a hogs tusk we find quite a few of those around here. Cool finds!!!!! HH

Very nice finds! You had a good hunt. Some really interesting artifacts. I am going to go with some type of tooth as well cause of the enamel remaining. A claw is made of keratin. It is still a nice artifact.

thanks for the help everyone. i checked out some pictures of boar tusks and they defenitely match. really nice to have all you knowledgable folks to get opinions and bounce ideas off, thanks again.
