Monkey off my back - I FINALLY found a coin!!! (or two)

Yes Folks, after what seems like years, I finally found a few coins today at the plantation house at lunch. Bye-bye Monkey!!!
Not an LC or a Barber, but I'll take them. All my finds today were right in back of the house along the dirt driveway path that cuts through the back yard. I can't believe I (and others ) missed these finds. They were literally found within a 20' diameter. The ground was damp due to our recent rains, and I didn't discriminate out as much as I normally do. I'm sure both of those factors helped me today. I can't tell you how many times I've been through this section, which only goes to show you, "no place is ever hunted out."
Again, not great coins, but I'm happy to of found them.
Here's my finds:

*1880 IH - This is my 4th IH AND oldest coin so far from this house.
Pictures are before and after tumbling.

*1952D Rosie

*1940 Wheat

*Musketball

*Small 2-ringer bullet. Is this a CW era bullet?

Nice digs MM. I knew you would find some nice coins before long. It's weird how they pop out of an area you know you've hit a zillion times before...but that's how it goes. That is when you know you're in touch with your machine

I have a gorilla on my back. I haven't found much of anything since November....

I hit a place last year that everyone told me was hunted out. I found a buffalo and 2 wheats in the same hole, the two wheets stuck together, the buffalo a few inches away. They were only about 4 inches down, right in the middle of the site. Maybe for all of these years hunters just happened to not swing over them or maybe a stroke of luck.

I'm sure you will find more there.

Its amazing how you can hit a property that might not look all that old and you walk away with 300 years worth of finds 1700's through present day its kool. And btw you mentioned you ran with less discrimination than usual maybe you should cut it back some seemed to work for ya here.

Thanks Doug-----Sometimes less vinegar works better. And ,on some coins, I follow up the teaspoon of vinegar tumble with just a rock and water tumble. I have also found that if I tumble more than one copper at a time they stick togeather and don,t clean evenly. Best luck my friend----Merf

I no all about the monkey i had one ,never could find a nickle i swear that is the hardest coin to find .found one two days ago all most posted it but it was clad and i dont have pictures yet darn web cam. so nice job on the caning of the monkey. only been dtecting for almost two months and i love it
