OK I now everyone wants stories of deep silver missed by detecorists for decades, this is not it. The deepest coin dug was around 6" most including the seated as you can see in pics are sun baked from sitting out exposed. The story goes a lot of research finally pays off. There is a property that is notoriously know as being the grounds of a old hotel. However across the water there was another hotel that was only open for about 16 yrs before it burned down anyway the only place I've had is just off the left off path ( I presume it was reworked at some point and stuff was pushed off and left.). Well here's the pics IMG_20150515_213134.jpgIMG_20150515_213114.jpgIMG_20150515_213114.jpgIMG_20150515_213033.jpgIMG_20150515_213033.jpg

That's an amazing hunt for which I dream about. Congrats on digging all those goodies. :notworthy:

that's almost 1 years keepers for me.

Great job. I'm the same way with research it really pays off. If you want to find old coins and grab silver you might have to do more research and spend more time but it's always a payday when the stars align. Keep up the good work we all love to see old coins and silver!! Congrats on ur seated...is there a mint mark??

Sweet!!

I'd be happy just finding a lone seated, Congrats on a trifecta.

Nice saves and doing your homework........

incredible amount of finds!!! seated, barbers, standing liberty!! great digs right there!

You have a great location there ! That would be a fine years catch for me too. I love the green of the IH's

Awesome hunt! Nothing like having your research pay off for you. What a reward for your efforts. :headbang: :occasion14:

that is a monster day - great finds - congrats

Very very nice!
What an array.
Four times not thrice.
What a sweeeeeet silver day.

Man!!
It may be me but Other than Buckleboy "most" of the old silver comes from the NE part of the Country.
Higher population back then I guess , + those Rich Yankees (No offence ).
Sometime I'm gonna sneak up there fro a few day's & get me a bunch of that silver ,IH's & LC,s. ' I wish'
Davers

Congrats on a stellar day, it's not every day we pull so many good targets!

Great assortment- congrats on the dime trifecta- that's never easy!!

Anyone of those are a great find and then you have IHs along with them. It has been awhile since I've found Indian Head pennies and silver together. I pulled a bunch of Sanborn maps and I am doing the same exact thing. It is amazing how so many little towns will have 4-8 hotels in them. Usually they are within walking distance of the railroad depots.

Thank you for sharing those pictures and your hunt with us
