You're killing it. And that's some, "very enduring hunting ground."

keep it up ya noob!!! :laughing7:

chuck.

Way to go Joe! Great stuff.
Some day I'll have to try the end of the season instead of the pre-season.

I think I am going to have to get an Excalibur. Do you dig everything or do you use the discrimination? sent from a potato...
Most excals that have the pinpoint modification are used by some in pp all metal and switched to discriminate to check the target. This can also be done without the mod using the knob but not as conveniently. I'd bet the hunt that your asking about was done this way as you can gain a little more depth. Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

Woops! Just read ahead and saw that the man has responded! I was on a page behind and just tried to help. This is like one of the kings men was speaking when he wasn't present. Forgive me my lord! Lol!

Super gold find there OBM!!! Makes me want to get in touch with my inner beginner !! I do recall having some really good finds when I first got back into detecting the second time around. I do have an Original Excalibur but it has some fire damage, was in a detector bag. Can you direct me to any threads with tips on how to work on them ?? TIA

The biggest problem I have here when hunting the rougher stuff isn't the rougher stuff, it's all the bodies being shoved around by the rougher stuff. You've really got to keep your eyes on everything. Beach bunnies included, of course. I absolutely hate it when beach bunnies come crashing into me, grabbing onto me for dear life, my hoping that they will need some measure of reviving....:laughing7:

Not bad for a beginner...lol Awesome hunting Joe!!!

Very nice find!
thanks for posting pic and showing where you hunt in low tide. I am a beginner and that kind of info always helps me :)

Your on a roll...awesome find...congrats.

This is Lowtide and I hunt the area marked by red, there is a small 60 plus minute window you can get into this area, this year I have pulled several necklaces from this area due to the ruff surf...Minelab Excalibur.

I think the average hunter would stay up where its calmer...you've got it figured out, keep the gold coming.

Thanks for sharing a nice dig and those pictures

Nice chunk of gold there. "Beginners luck"??

Amazing Find, just amazing!
Did you draw that squiggly red line path before or after celebrating?
