Getting a bit discouraged with the halves boxes here latey. I just went through skunk boxes #16 and # 17 last night. Only found 1 NIFC, a 2005D. I'm going to have to go on another road trip soon I guess.
Also had another skunk dimes box, the only one I was able to scrape up yesterday that was not filled with solid rolls of 2011.
I dropped by my main coin counter bags source branch to pick up bags and was skunked there too. My favorite teller had left for a vacation to FL and her replacement sold both bags (pennies and dimes) to the "fed" a day early. She said she was confused and thought it was thursday morning. Thursday is coin delivery/pickup day and they must have the weekly bag sell done by 10 AM that morning in order to be scheduled for a bag pickup during coin delivery that afternoon. Normally I pick up those bags on wednsdays unless I get a call to come in sooner. The good news is coin delivery will hopefully replenish the dimes supply with something other than rolls of new 2011.
At my other coin counter bags supply branch, the head teller told me that their coin service had complained about them selling bags from the coin machine. Someone there may have said something to the coin delivery/pickup crew when asked why there were no bags of coins other than halves to pick up for the past few weeks. She told me they're not really supposed to be selling the bags from the coin machine to anyone else besides the coin service. I asked her to please check their contract to be sure, I don't want to get them in any legal trouble. I can arrange for bags of coins to be delivered by their coin service if the need arises, as bagged coins cost them less than rolled and boxed coins. Soon I will be wanting to buy bags of coins in bulk anyways.
The coin chutes/tubes arrived for my coin sorters on monday. I'm now trying to work out a good mechanical method to firmly attach these flimsy aluminum tubes to the hopper outputs. Will update my coin sorters thread later.
