Hello All,

Got out with Shanegalang and DiggerGirl for a lil' Louisiana Huntin'. :)

We did well, pulling more spanish and a good military button, as well as some other cool finds. Check out the video:

Here is Shane's pocketwatch winder. It says "La Force" on once side and "Le Bon Temps" on the other side with a sun. :sunny:

Here is another Spanish Silver Half Real coming to light. This one is an 1811 Ferdinand. Ferdies ring up as a 65 on the F75, while Caroluses ring up as 61 or 62, in case anyone wants to know. ;)

An Early Navy cuff button with fouled anchor:

Mystery item that looks almost like it had a cross over top of the letter "M" (Miraculous Medal Rosary Beads link???)

Awsome finds BB, congratulations :icon_thumright:

Great finds guys and gal!
Looks like your digger was hungry for some silver:laughing7:, or maybe you used a wire brush to clean it:tongue3:.

Really cool Spanish silver

Been waiting for this post BB!! You Bandits (and Bandit Beauty) are getting pretty consistent with silver & military buttons. I have always been told that Union cap and cartridge boxes are brass and CS are lead. WTG, Q.

Nice finds there, congrats! HH, Mike

Great finds as always

The plow was hungry for silver. The coin was in the clod. Sometimes hunting plowed fields sucks...but then I think about the fact that they will never be worked out, and I get happy again. :D

Great info, Q! Oh, and I really like that... The "Bandit Beauty"! That's much better than the Diggin Doll. LOL.

He must have steel like fingernails. :) BB and company, nice going again, Shane's watch winder is the find of the day, have never seen that one before.

Really nice finds. Looks like you guys had a great day.

Good to see that you guys are back to pulling some nice coins and relics from the LA soil. Is that a new site, or the same one you've pounded before? Love the watch winder part (and the silver of course!).

LUV IT ALL BB!!!!! AWESOME AS ALWAYS.... CONGRATS... HH

You are absolutely right on that. It's what I told him in the field, that it'd be difficult to top. And I don't think a little half real and military cuff trumps that. That's several hunts in a row he's gotten the find that will be unlikely to ever replicate again. First the handshake engraved silver, then the Louisiana Benevolent Order of Elks Badge, and now the watch winder. I'm gonna have to leave Shane at home next time. :D

New spot with good signs. Clay pipe stems, good pottery of the right age, and early finds.

really great finds :icon_thumright:

Looks like a new spot with some great potential. Very cool watch winder!

Great hunt...I'm looking forward to your future posts!
