Hello All,

Got out with Shanegalang and DiggerGirl for a lil' Louisiana Huntin'. :)

We did well, pulling more spanish and a good military button, as well as some other cool finds. Check out the video:

Here is Shane's pocketwatch winder. It says "La Force" on once side and "Le Bon Temps" on the other side with a sun. :sunny:

Here is another Spanish Silver Half Real coming to light. This one is an 1811 Ferdinand. Ferdies ring up as a 65 on the F75, while Caroluses ring up as 61 or 62, in case anyone wants to know. ;)

An Early Navy cuff button with fouled anchor:

Mystery item that looks almost like it had a cross over top of the letter "M" (Miraculous Medal Rosary Beads link???)

great finds. Congrats. Love the Spanish silver, even plow-struke it's a good find. The mystery item is off of a Catholic rosary, it is the center bead where the loop ends meet often called the "Hail Holy Queen" part of the rosary. Nice find, could be that there is a crucifix/cross out there in that field awaiting you as well. The beads were probably glass, or maybe even bone or ivory. HH

Great finds as always...keep em coming!!

BB - Buckle Boy; BB - Bandit Beauty, now what to call Shane? BB - Bad Boy? LOL!

Had a fun day that day! As always, anxious to go again. For those that dont know, the "le bon temps" is french for "Good Times". - Shanegalang

Great finds! We don't see many later date reales posted in the forum!

So it's not a town where vampires and shape shifters live?

Nice finds guys and gal.

Nice digs Buck and crew:headbang:

I believe your mystery item is an old Catholic pendant..

I have a few with the M and the cross above..Never seen one that old:icon_scratch:

Definately an early one if so..

GREAT information. Could the beads have been the type we normally call "Russian Blue" beads?

Best Wishes,

Buck
