I hit an antiques mall today and the display cases had no watches. I took a quick spin to the vintage clothes section on the lookout for gold or silver belt buckles. Mixed in within the belts were suspenders that someone had pinned a bunch of watches on it. They had pin backs glued to it and colored stones glued to the faces. I got two really nice Atlantic Watch company mid to late 40's watches along with a 1977 Timex and a ladies junk watch. I was able to open the backs on the Atlantics and I must say the movements were very nice. The brown one actually runs but inconsistently. The black dial one I need to work on. They are only 30MM watches but I think worth trying to fix. I had not heard of this company so it was an interesting read to find out they are still in business. Here are some picks of the The Atlantics and after a little elbow grease. Here is the Timex after cleaning, polishing and a new band. Works great. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473170709.423023.jpg
