I don't know US coins very well at all, but I would say that's a fake. Why do I think fake? To me it looks like patina/aging looks deliberate.

Assuming the weight and diameter are correct, I'll favor the coin as real. My logic is: If a replica were to be produced, why not produce one dated one year earlier (with the same mint mark)? If that had been done, it would be a replica representing a coin worth maybe 50 or more times in value in this MS condition.
