Metal detecting @ a beach in San Juan Capistrano,CA and found this. Can anyone tell me if this could be from the early 1800's. It was all dark colored when I found it but I carry it in my wallet for good luck now and it is rubbing away to a silver color. It was a high tone in the silver range. I use a Bounty Hunter Outback. Only paid 100 dollars for it.
