Movies With A Metal Detecting/Treasure Hunting Theme?

Anyone know of some good movies/documentaries with a metal detecting or treasure hunting theme? Something along the lines of National Treasure I guess, but maybe a bit more realistic.

3. Search for Atocha - real documentory it will get the blood moving

I cant imagine u havent seen cash and treasures

on discovery. then theres undersea treasures.

i think showing many ocean exploits
and undersea robot recoveries.

this was the group that discoverd the ss
central america.

if u like antique type treasures vs gold silver
and jewels . antiques roadshow...pawn stars...

on movies goonies is stupid speilbergs worst film

fools gold has many great treasure metal detecting scene

i esp like the scene where the blowhole becomes

a volcano of gold coin and jewels!!

not mention so far is the newer pirate of the carribean
series w johhnny depp. the treasure cave scene
near the end ofthe second movie ..yeah!

if all this isnt enuf..u tube is exploding with treasure

videos make by amateurs and semi pros..

once jumpy unviewable garbage. has become quite
refined by now.as people learn how to do it better.

now i can watch other people recover targets when
im too sore to dig my own ! happy viewing

Ok i will give the dvd ... The Nugget ... a try just found it on Ebay and bought it.. I am so tired of watching those water dive for treasure shows . if i never see another dive for treasure show i'll be happy............. But i just bought the DVD....The Nugget ...off Ebay

I just got the dvd "The Nugget" off Ebay too. After reading about it here. Sounds like a fun little film. It's a Australian film. Lighthearted. Should be good fun. It stars Eric Bana.

Well i hope it is entertaining i will find out i about a week . Hope it don't take much longer than that to get here.I also looked up the ...lost city of gold dvd ... but it was dive for treasure from what i read so passed it up..BUT there was a ....lost city of gold dvd....it plays for 81 minutes and it was with the >>>>> lone Ranger.. & .. Tonto ..<<<<< i bought that one HI HO Silver

Charleton Heston made a great movie in 1982 about Alaska gold called
Motherlode. Haven't seen it in years but it's a thriller.

One of my favorites is McKenna's Gold. Set in the wild west, a group of people look for a hidden valley of gold.

That movie is an all time great. It sent many out to the wilds of Arizona and
New Mexico seeking the Lost Adams Diggings.

Another one I watched a few weeks ago is The Treasure of Matacumbe. Kinda like a Tom Sawyer type movie, and set in that era. A couple kids and a couple men going down a river looking for a buried treasure.
