Did Thomas Edison manufacture vases? Just asking. They must have some value. You gave me an idea.montepollock said:abt 1988 I hiked along an exempt railroad in SE kansas and found4or5 of the round jars with lids, and maybe a hundred battery oil bottles(poured over the acid in battery to prevent evaporation.
well, anyway shortly after RR reopened spur and regraded, burrying anything left under 3' of gravel.
I never found any square ones,Though.

Im going to start searching RR tracks more often because thats were Edisons batteries were often used. Anything with a patent date is worth more.bigcypresshunter said:Its already IDed. No need to keep guessing, unless you are just boosting your post count.allen said:that was just my guess !!!![]()

Its a battery cover, with Thomas Edison's name on it. I have looked and looked for one on Ebay and the internet and can't find one anywhere. I have 1, a full one not broken or chipped, in like mint condition. But I can not find what it is worth. I see the round ones on Ebay, but not the rectangler one like you and I have. I'm trying to find out if they are rare, and or rarer then the round ones.
