Went on a three day mini vacation with the wife to St. Pete Beach. Got in about eight hours of water hunting. Beaches were sanded in and the bottom was fluffy but I managed to make a few good finds. Found the chain about thirty minutes in to my first hunt. It came up hanging out of my scoop and my eyes bulged out. 22 inches, 91 grams, marked .925. I got a big ugly custom made silver ring weighing 13.5 grams, a silver toe ring 0.7 grams and a small silver heart bracelet that was 5.2 grams. Picked up a pair of Coach sunglasses in waist deep water. I priced the exact same pair at a beach shop and they sold for 144. No gold, but not complaning with the amount of silver I scooped. 110.4 grams of .925 .

Hey... I've got that exact same chain! 93grams, but I bought mine. Finding it would have been a lot better :skullflag:
I think its missing a piece of the clasp...probably would weigh 93 with it.

I haven't bought much jewelery.

what kind of premium over spot does a chain like that run? I am talking a good deal. Like 25 over spot? 100 over? I am utterly clueless.

Wow, that IS an ugly ring, lol! Won't feel bad about scrapping that one... That's a heck of a chain.

Wow. That chain was almost to big
For your scale. Nice find!

Dag! Looks like the chain they used to hold KingKong down, Very Nice.....

I pitty the fool who lost that necklace!

Congrats on that monster! Since it was silver and not gold, maybe it was Mr. T's little brother.

The silver is gold. Congratulation!!

Awesome chain!
I tumble the chains I find in a Lortone tumbler.
Dish soap, water and the aggregate rock that comes with it.
Chains comes out sparkling every time.
Works great with silver rings to.

I use Tarn-X on tarnished silver and it works great but it doesnt work on crusty silver.

Well hey might not be gold, but it's at least worth something. Nice finds!!!

Heavy chain. Let me know when you come to the area again, I'll show you some beaches.
