I find everything in this spot.
I found a Folsom there as well as Archaic and Woodland points too.
I have several Paleo tools. Gonna post soon.
Strangulated huh. Cool name.
I have several spokshaves. I'll have to start a thread on em.

I think the first one is a paleo tool, possibly Folsom culture. Just a guess, but it's quite similar in size and workmanship to a Folsom uniface multitool from N. Mexico I've got.

No problem Chong, both these pieces came from the same Folsom site near Grants, New Mexico, the small paleo blade is fluted to tip on both sides. Constricted sides and edgework on the uniface multitool kind of remind me of Jonzers piece.

jonzer,
i keep thinking that the user could sure make quick work when
stripping the bark from a batch of arrow shafts with that first spokeshave, right ?

That's 2 Folsom pieces I have!
Here ya go Chong. The Archy's told me there were only 18 ever recorded found in Illinois.
I'm sure there are more, but the state only has 18 documented.

It's locked up in a safe deposit box along with my dad's Clovis and some other stuff.
Next time we get em out, I'll take a better pic.
Not sure of the material.
I need schooling on materials.
