Will i here a low beeb if a coin is real deep.
also i burried a dime about 7in and it read lead. why is that.
i just wanna find old coins how should i commonly set up my mxt, thank you very much

Your detector is working correctly. Targets that are deep will sound off with lower volumn unless you detector has a signal boost. A freshly buried coin will not read correctly nor as deep as one that has been in the soil awhile.

For finding the old coins you are going to also run into a lot of trash as the older a site is, the more junk gets dropped too. My advice is to get a small coil and visit these old sites that other hunters have given up on and work around the trash. Don't forget the brush, it wasn't always growing there.
