Congrats on a gorgeous nugget!

I'd try panning some of the surrounding material as well. Might be some good fines in the vacinity.

Nice nugget!! Sure does feel good to finally snag one after searching so hard, doesn't it?

I was just telling my wife this evening that I haven't been out nuggetshooting in quite some time. And then I come across your post! LOL

Now you need to go back and grid off the area 10x10 and swing slowly. Where there's one, there's usually more.

Nice find, I've been here since oct. 25th. still haven't found one, I have 3 weeks left before I leave for Wi. I',m going to the Quartzite area next week.
well,

i found it about 3" deep in the side wall of a wash, the wall was about 10' tall. the wash cut thru a small (narrow but long 400-450 yds)alluvial fan. it was about eye level. i found it on the south side of hwy 10 ,off of gold nugget road , east out of quartzsite az. i have the gps cord. for it but, i'm saving it for another run at the MOTHER LOAD ha ha

nice, how deep ?

That's awesome I wish I could hunt for gold nuggets.

Gratz, Keep @ it and HH!!

Nice find, even Tom Massie tells us on his show that a lot of prospecting goes on before they fire up the cameras. Not everybody can find gold, otherwise we'd all be out there doing it. I congratulate you on being one who had the patience and persistance to find a nice nugget. Keep on huntin'.

Hey that's my tooth ;D

Kidding aside, congrats on a nice looking nugget..could you imagine 19th century prospectors having the technology we have now? Good thing they didn't though, more for you to find.

Nice job,
Nat
