My 7yr old daughter's finds today

Today a friend of mine and her two kids came detecting with my daughter and I. (These three kids are super friends). Actually, the kids detected and we helped. Seeing as the kids ALWAYS want to try the detectors, we thought make a point of letting them detect as long as they want. I snuck out to the park and scattered about 30 coins for them to find (it's more fun when you find something haha).

They thought it was super fun to find the coins, but then they were finding other stuff too, like bottle caps and pulltabs!

I couldn't believe it when my girl found the dog head item, it's metal and must be part of a toy sword or knife or something. I didn't plant that, it's a legit find haha! She was excited.

Anyway, she insisted that I "post my finds on treasurenet dad!!!". Thanks for looking, and she's excited to hear what you all think. Very well played JC!

She is rocking that Deus!

I felt bad just stopping mid research...
After all this solve / work is for a 7 year old...
would be wrong of me not to continue on till I found it...

So... here it is. :P

Good job, that is exactly it.
Fancy knife, should end the cane comments.

Cool find, I think your knife handle makes a lot of sense, as it seems to me a bit small for a cane topper. That of course just my opinion.
Congrats on all the non-planted finds, any of which may have been a gold or something interesting too.

For some reason I thought it was from a knife or sword. I'm amazed that AARC was able to find the exact piece and solve it.

Congratz to your daughter!

Excellent ID AARC! You are the man! I thought it was a cane top as well.

pffft. . . kid does better then i do.

Hunting with your daughter is priceless, congratulations on the fun time! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks again everybody. I read my daughter all the replies to this this thread tonight after bedtime stories. She was thrilled with all the kind words, and especially the sweet ID by AARC. She's going to take her finds to show and tell at school this week, and I think there's an ACE250 in her near future.
