Not the ATP's, mine. Also, they've been tossing about that four letter word around on the TV again. As if I wasn't feeling low enough, they gotta remind me it's still winter. ;)

Anyway, when I need a bit of a charge I've found that going back to the old mansion helps. I've been hunting it about a year now. So, the finds are few and getting fewer. But that's ok for me. It's more about going to a place where I enjoy being. Even though it's drying up, it ALWAYS gives me interesting things. (or maybe I have a low threshold of interest. :dontknow: )

Here's the overall:

Did I mention? The finds are getting fewer? ;)

5 pieces of lead. I figure modern bullets, except the squashed one.

Don't know what it is but it came with the nails. Pretty deep. I suspect old.

Wish I had the whole car.

ATP's battery fund.

Neat little, (tiny), button. I can make out "GILT" up top. There's a star at about 3-oclock.
There's letters at the bottom but I can't read them. Fair amount of gilt left.

Then, literally, 10 feet from getting in the car:

Still can't figure out how this keeps happening! LOL

Here's what I'm starting with:

I figured, a nickel by size alone.

I was right. :)

I'll be trying to clean it up a bit more, but I'm not expecting much.
Still, all in all, a pretty fair day and I do feel a little better.

Thanks for stopping by!

At least you found a buffalo. I have been Mding for almost 10 years never found one yet! I have found every type of nickel many times over, even a 1867 with rays shielded. Im not a betting man but what are the odds of that. I probably have a better chance getting struck by lightning. Knock on wood. lol!!

Well, I have noticed that Buffalo nickels tend to hit with a sort of iron twinge to them, ya know? Around 50 also on the ATP. Maybe that helps? Kind of a quiet hit compared to a regular nickel at the same depth too. I bet lots of 'em are missed as junk.
Hope that helps.

Thanks!

HHMMM? :icon_scratch: Seeing as we both have Garrett machines I do see what you are saying.

Make sure it's not a three leg buff

First thing I looked for. ;) But ya know, even if it was, in this condition, probably not worth much. I wouldn't buy it. LOL
