Finally, south of Cisco, Utah I was able to get up close enough to one of these rascals for a decent pic. Never happens for me. I wanted a shot of the backside, but it never would turn away from me. Still, I appreciate the cooperation.

My hubby & I were charged by a doe while in the truck once....we saw the fawn hiding in the brush behind her. So yah, she could have had one somewhere!

I also think Maria nailed it. She has probably been leading you on about not knowing much of the outdoors just to make you feel "mas macho"
