My best Brinks boxes of dimes in a while - 31, 24, and 32 keepers

I'm in the middle of doing my weekend dimes and quarters, and just finished a box that had 31 silver dimes in it. I sure did not want that box to end, but the box has a machine number and a date, so hopefully I can luck into some more boxes with the same date/machine number tomorrow.

There were 30 Roosevelt and 1 Mercury. Brinks boxes have been very tough here lately, but hopefully this is a sign of better dimes/times coming. Full report of 5 dime boxes and 3 quarter boxes will come later tonight.

Keep hitting those dimes my friends.

Whatever bank you got it from, definitely doesn't have cherrypicking tellers. Good info to have. And I thought I did good finding 2 Roosies searching a Brinks box at a US Bank.

The tellers might cherry pick the rolls when they get a box for their station, but the boxes I get are sealed and straight from the bank vault 99% of the time.

Hey CardsnCoins: Nice finds, what a nice stack to add to the pile, especially that many coming from one box, that is very fast stacking w/dimes from what I have seen. Congrats, is that your best box?

My thoughts on cherry picking tellers: First of all, one of the things that has surprised me most since starting this hobby, is the tellers/bankers/cashiers etc... who have absolutely no idea or awareness of silver coinage or just silver, and coins in general. If you ask me, most of the tellers around here, couldnt even tell you that coinage ever had any silver in it, because they are so unaware of it, it does not exist in their world

I would say, and Im being very realistic here: that the number of tellers I have talked to, and dealt with in the past several months who even have a clue about silver is... maybe 1 out of 10. maybe. The other 9 out of 10 are completely oblivious to coins, let alone the silver. Obviously, I am very glad this is the case, otherwise our hobby would be significantly less productive-IMO. How many times have all of us had a teller hand us silver coinage that had been sitting in their tray in plain sight, for however long? Some of you might say, "well some tellers cannot, or are not allowed to cull silver coins, or exchange/buy out anything from their drawer." I agree, however, I really think that if that is what was happening, and the teller knew he/she was handing you silver that is worth 10-30 times face value... dont ya think they would say something, or mention something? I do. The direction I was going with this, is would most of you say that it is any different in your CRH'ing area? Do any of you find that majority of tellers/bankers are aware, and educated about silver? I was just curious as to whether or not this is just an anomoly in my area?

Do you actually open these up and dump in a counter or just deposit the rolls? Makes me wish I could get these clear wraps!

So far $243,000+ searched this year, and none of it got deposited. I do not want any of my CRHing to exist on paper. I also pay for the boxes in cash, never a withdrawal slip from my account.

This leaves me speachless... I am in your general area, only get brinks dimes as well, gave them up. Was averaging 1 silver dime every 2 boxes (1 dime per $500)

When you post later, is it too much to ask for the dates? that's just fantastic, keep it up! hh

Well I went to a few TD Banks today, and out of 6 more boxes I found 2 that had the same machine # and date stamp as the hot box from yesterday. Those 2 boxes had 24 keepers and 32 keepers in them. What a weekend for dimes.

unbelieveable!!! if you know which banks had those hot boxes, it would be a great idea to go back and clear out as many as possible(even if a swap is required!!!) Keep it up, and hope you score even more!! dream boxes in my opinion!

try those quarter boxes as well! hh
