So, I'm out in the back yard with my 2 girls watching them swing on the swing set. I decide to pull out my metal detector and have a go at it. Low and behold my kids want to start digging holes everywhere and find the lost treasure of our house. (Being 5 and 3 years old, I can understand the need for treasure digging; hell I still need to dig for treasure.) Anyway I get a signal, the kids start digging and waaalaaa... Little gold ring! This got out whole family hooked. The picture is from after I cleaned it up. We found it about a year ago and being brand new to the hobby I didn't think about taking a picture while they were digging.
