My best hunt! Weekend at my grandparent's OLD house in Southern Ohio. Quality Pics!

Hey all

Been looking forward to this trip for a while now. I went to their house Friday after work and came back Monday afternoon. This was by far my best hunt ever and produced coins that were older than my oldest coin even in my lifelong coin collection!

EDIT: I got the video up finally!

First off, here's the house:

Nobody can figure out exactly how old the house was but everyone kinda guessed turn of the century.

Anyway my first day there, I only had about 10 minutes before dark so I ran out there and immediately found this!
'

As you can imagine, I could hardly sleep after that! My previous record was an 1880 Indian Head penny, and I never dreamed that I would find a Large Cent!

Over the next few days I found all of these old coins, all of which (besides the indian head) I had never found before!

I also found some really cool tokens!

At one point I dug a piece of copper then felt my digger hit glass, so I pushed away some dirt and saw this...

So I dug it out and kept digging and found all of this!

If anyone can tell me something about that pocket knife I would be thrilled! I did some research and found out that one of the bottles is a medicine bottle from 1916, and the other is a whiskey bottle from 1939-1942!

Here is the rest of the things that I thought were neat!

I also forgot to post this pic in case anyone is interested.

You have some great finds, made even more so because it's family history.

Thank you for the compliment! I'm very greatful to have family with such cool places to hunt. Speaking of family history, I forgot to mention that the dog tag I found almost certainly belonged to my first dog. We had her around that time and she probably lost the tag in Ohio. I live in Oakland County MI to clear any confusion there.

Oh man my bad I completely forgot to mention that I've been using a White's Spectrum XLT that I borrowed. I think I wouldn't have been able to hunt there with my F2 because there were so many nails!

Hello, all. Been lurking for awhile and enjoying the finds and stories. Mr. Helton, this being an old home, you may well have an old privy on the site that might be well worth investigating. Good luck!
