My Cotton Picking Finds

[ModernMiner]

I headed a bit South yesterday and tried a small corn field.
Hoping for some CW relics or a coin or two, but no such luck.
My only decent find was an old flat button. Excellent condition, but no back mark.
The other finds are self-explanatory.
Thanks for looking and have a great week.

That is a decent day even without the civil war showing up.

Great post > you did us NC detectors proud

[ModernMiner]

I think your American flag device is a circa WWII "sweetheart pin". The number of white stars in the blue field would indicate the number of childrens in the service. It also looks like you have a broken tombac button there, which would be contemporaneous with the other, brass flat button.

Neat finds.

Plehbah,
Thanks for the info. Very nice!

The shaver is the ONLY way I can get trim anymore at my age.
Have a great week Big Guy.

Thanks CD.
I guess I can't expect CW stuff to just pop up every time. I wish it would though.
Those cotton fields were beautiful. It looked like it snowed.
Have a good one.

That's a good picture of a cotton plant. I've never seen them up close. Only from a distance(in the car).

Is it still hot down there? Today I was out with shorts and a t-shirt and still sweating!

Bob,
Can you believe low to mid 80's here all week? No rain though, and our water supply here is zilch. Do you have any H2O in PA you can pipe down to us here in NC?

[TN-Joe]

Looks like a great day. I first thought that it had snowed, untill I strolled down.

Dry here in Ohio - ground is very dry. Only thing keeping the grass green is the cool nights with some dew.

Thanks Nick.
That means a lot. You can just e-mail me a picture of the alfredo. If you mail it, it may not taste the same as fresh.
