Hello everyone,
Jeez, so many great posts in the last 24 hours, I spent 4 hours reading & responding,
Congrats To ALL
I had another great day yesterday, found many choice bits
another example of my favorite military button, the early 1800s eagle over cannon
one piece, this is a 22 mm, probably a Robinson Attleboro.
(I noticed 2 of these buttons dug by others here in the last day)
I have dug many of these here, both in this size, and a smaller version with 10 balls that is not listed in Tice.
Got my 3rd Large cent this year, 1852, my first of that issue.
A first for me: War Nickel, though can see neither the date or mintmark, it sure rings as silver, thought I had a Reale till Monticello came into view.
(also has a 15% die rotation error)
Found an odd oval button, looks like tombac alloy.
The remains of a silver salt shaker cover.
A Mickey Mouse spoon, got a ring last year.
An unusual brass button with raised center. (pried out of a rock crevice)
2 tiny buttons, a flat brass & a tombac.
(I am amazed at the Etracs ability to find tiny bits of metal at good depths!)
Pewter spoonbowl, whale oil lamp part, & other stuff.
Thanks for Looking & HH to all !
