I haven't been out detecting in about 3 weeks or so, I found a bottle dump and have been doing alot of bottle digging lately. Well I ended up getting poison ivy so I think I'll stay out of the woods where the bottles are for awhile! I decided on Sunday since I wasn't gonna go bottle hunting that I'd go out detecting for awhile. Glad I did! I went to a county park that's been around for a long time...it's where I found my only large cent (1851) I hit an area where I've found a bunch of wheat cents in the past...found a 1936 Merc.! It's only the 3rd I've found in the 1 1/2 years I've had my detector! When I dug it up I saw on the back that it was a D mint mark...then I saw the 19 6 as the 3 was covered with dirt...I thought I had a 1916D! Oh well, I'm still VERY happy with it. I also found 3 wheats, one being my 3rd oldest coin ever...a 1910! I also found a Jamaican $1 coin. I also found a bit of modern clad but I didn't post the pic. of it because the pic. didn't come out at all...not sure why. I also included a pic. here of some of the bottles I've found in the past few weeks...the ones shown are only a VERY small sample of what I've found. I've found over 200 bottles at the site I've been digging!
Thanks for looking....

Those are some fantastic bottles! I have inadvertantly become a bottle collector through this hobby.

I have also become quite the bottle hunter due to metal detecting...lol I was detecting a local park, went into the woods to detect in there, noticed broken glass all over the place and have been pulling bottle from there ever since. It's a pretty big dump sit as I've pulled MANY bottles from there and there seems to be no end to the amount of bottles I'm digging. Seems to date from about 1905 - 1930 or so from what I'm finding and what I've been told...
