My First Class Ring... Sorta...

I was able to slip out on Sunday morning with TNetters Kurt Stuben and P@tch. It was a beautiful sunny and warm day in the Carolinas. AND, Kurt put me on a spot with the goods!

The Deus was diligently searching, but not finding much other than clad. I got a really sharp small high tone... thinking copper cent, I dug a plug... and out pops my first class ring! I have been looking for one of these for almost 4 years with no luck.



WAIT A MINUTE! Something's not quite right.



This thing is WAY too small to be a ring.

Turns out it is a pendant, worn from a necklace, with the loop broken off of it. At first I was really bummed about it NOT being a ring... I quickly got over that though.




It's marked " WELLS STERLING", and cleaned up with a toothbrush, water and baking soda... I'm counting it as silver ring #7 for the year anyway.

Side note: Smittyman went to this school in the 1950s.

A little later one of my plugs had a 1960 dime in it. Silver coin #28 for the year.



All in all a good day, a hand full of Wheaties and a silver coin... and a "class ring"!

I agree, I think it's a class ring that was turned into a pendant. Some girls have tiny fingers! So, congrats on your first class ring!

I only date girls with "tiny fingers"... because it makes my... well never mind...

It is a pendant for sure, I have seen them on the internet. Google: "Wells sterling class ring", and they come popping up.
