Nice find but I have to agree with pepperj, looks like a coat jacket button. From your profile I see you live in central PA, you are right in the middle of some of the best detecting locations our country has to offer. Recommend you look into joining a local metal detecting club or find a more experienced detectorist to hunt with. Additionally recommend you learn everything there is to know about your machine. Thanks so much. My sister and I have just been "treasure Hunting " as a relaxing
past time with our kids. We have found some pretty cool things.
